About B&V Trading

Hi, I’m Rob — and I wanted to share a little about B&V Trading and how it all began.

B&V Trading started back in 2016 on our Altrincham market stall, where we still proudly trade today. What began as a small passion project has grown steadily over the years into a much-loved destination for dog (and cat) owners across Cheshire and beyond.

Since those early days, we’ve expanded into multiple locations — with stores in Sale town centre, Knutsford, Macclesfield, and most recently, Glossop Market Hall. Despite our growth, we’ve stayed true to our roots: offering thoughtful, high-quality products and friendly, personal service.

Inspired by Dogs, Built for Dog Lovers

B&V is named after my two dogs — Busta and Vivienne — who have always been at the heart of everything we do.

Busta, our much-loved yellow Labrador, was part of the family for 18 wonderful years. Losing him was incredibly hard, as anyone who’s loved a dog will understand. Vivienne, our cheeky mini dachshund, continues to keep us on our toes — now joined by Mr Cotton, our very lively Dalmatian, who definitely keeps things interesting!

We carefully curate everything we stock, prioritising quality, sustainability, and responsible sourcing wherever possible.

Many of our products are exclusive to B&V Trading, and if there’s something specific you’re looking for, we’ll always do our best to source it — or even have it made.

Supporting independent makers and UK businesses is a big part of what we stand for. We’re proud to work with brands who share our values, including handcrafted accessories from Barkley and Fetch, eco friendly dog toys by Green & Wilds, beautiful handmade leather dog accessories by Storeys and Tails, sustainable poo bags by Fetch-It, stocked across all of our stores.
